Composition

ketoconazole 200 mg

Excipients: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, starch Pregelatinised, cellulose microcrystalline, povidone, magnesium stearate, sodium carboximetilkrahmal.

Pharmacological action

Anti-fungal agent. It has a fungicidal and fungistatic. The mechanism of action is inhibition of ergosterol synthesis and changes the lipid composition of the membrane. Active against the causative agent of multi-colored lichen Malassezia furfur, the causative agents of some dermatomycoses (Trichophyton, Epidermophyton floccosum, Microsporum), the causative agents of candidiasis (Candida), as well as agents of systemic mycoses (Cryptococcus).

It is also active against gram-positive cocci: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp.

Testimony

Used to treat the following diseases: dermatophytes, onychomycosis caused by blastomycetes, hyphomycetes; vaginal candidiasis, cutaneous-mucous candidiasis, pityriasis versicolor; systemic mycoses; mycoses of the gastrointestinal tract and the genitourinary system; for the prophylaxis of fungal infections in patients with lowered immunological resistance of the organism.

Contraindications

Individual intolerance to the drug components. Pregnancy and lactation. Patients with acute or chronic liver disease.
