Drug interactions

With simultaneous use of ciprofloxacin with DDI absorption of ciprofloxacin is reduced due to the formation of complexons of ciprofloxacin with didanosine contained in the aluminum and magnesium buffers.

While the use of warfarin increases the risk of bleeding.

With simultaneous use of ciprofloxacin and theophylline may increase the concentration of theophylline in blood plasma, increase in T1/2 of theophylline, leading to increased risk of developing toxic effects associated with theophylline.

Concomitant use of antacids as well as drugs, containing ions aluminium, zinc, iron or magnesium may decrease the absorption of ciprofloxacin, so the interval between administration of these drugs should be at least 4 hours.
